COURTHOUSE CENTER FOR THE ARTS SINGS!!-A RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN SUNDAY SING-ALONG

Sing loud, sing soft or just hum along. Gather around the piano and simply enjoy these cherished songs. Bring the kids, your friends, grandparents or just come yourself!

ACCOMPANIED AND WITH COMMENTARY, BY GERALD MOSHELL

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II formed the most renowned composer-lyricist team in the history of the American musical theater. This sing-along, for which easily readable lyric-sheets will be provided for all participants, will include well-known and well-loved songs from “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I,” and “The Sound of Music.”

Gerald Moshell, a professor of music at Trinity College (Hartford CT), has directed and accompanied hundreds of productions during his 50-year-long career. He directed many memorable productions for Cornerstone Playhouse previously located in Wakefield.

Come and join voices with your friends and neighbors (no experience necessary!), and relive the glories of what is often referred to as the Golden Age of Musical Theater. Light refreshments to follow.

Suggested Donation of $10.00 is not required but will be gladly accepted to support our youth theatre scholarship program.
