on Campbell is the consummate journeyman singer songwriter who continues to perform in concert halls, clubs, outdoor concert venues, coffee houses and listening rooms around the country. He has a unique and uncanny ability to sing comfortably in the tenor range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak or Dan Fogelberg, but also the surprising ability to comfortably drop into the sub-bass vocal level range of country greats Josh Turner and Johnny Cash – this is effortless with Campbell. Don Campbell’s music sits comfortably in the world of “American Crossover” akin to the Eagles, John Cougar, Ryan Adams a little Bryan Adams, add a “dash” Dire Straits and or Brent Mason-like guitar tones, a “pinch” of Bruce Hornsby-like grooves the lyrical intimacies of Folk-Circuit / Americana spice and you’ve finally found Don Campbell. This guy has won a $50,000.00 Grand Prize at Nashville’s Grand Ol’ Opry with his original music, another Grand Prize custom Gibson Les Paul from Jim Beam’s Back Room Band Search, 6 Time Winner of the title, “Maine’s Best Singer Songwriter” from the Maine Sunday Telegram’s Reader’s Poll. Campbell also received an Independent Music Award Nomination and a Runner Up Award for his Double CD Release, “Kites To Fly – Celebrating The Music of Dan Fogelberg” Officially endorsed in April of 2014 by the Fogelberg Association of Peoria.

Campbell’s lyrics convey an amazing buffet of subject matters from songs about “Buzzards and Open Roads” to “The Snow At Arlington” written for fallen Veterans buried in the National Cemetery in Virginia. Campbell also penned the National Theme song “A Friend Right Here” for The Visiting Nurse Assciation of America.

Don Campbell’s mandate is to “Always perform for the audience, never at them”. This serves Campbell well as he continues to please listeners up and down the East Coast, venue buyers with well-attended, memorable shows and continued strength in his own internet and CD sales.

Campbell is a highly-talented multi-instrumentalist performing and recording while playing acoustic guitar, piano, B3 Organ, bass, electric guitar, nylon string guitar, mandolin and harmonica. These are all impressively delivered in Campbell’s latest recording, “The Dust Never Settles” – a full-bodied CD collection consisting of inspiring messages relating to the positive aspects moving forward, universal inward reflection, magnetization of love, the value of expecting the unexpected and songs of appreciation for those who give so much.

Campbell’s music will make you feel like he’s a friend you haven’t met yet, but you’re really glad you finally did.

Don Campbell performs between 150 to 200 shows per year and resides in Portland, Maine. His website is: www.doncampbellmusic.com
