Greg Abate — jazz saxophonist, flutist, and composer – continues as an International Jazz/Recording Artist with 225 days a year touring the globe. In the mid 70’s after finishing a four year program at Berklee College of Music, Greg played lead alto for the Ray Charles Orchestra for two years. In 1978 Greg formed his own group, Channel One, which was a favorite in the New England area, and from there had the opportunity to play tenor sax with the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra from 1986-87. Following this experience, Greg ventured out as post hard bop soloist playing Jazz Festivals, Jazz Societies, and Jazz Clubs throughout the US, Canada, and abroad, including most of Europe, UK, Moscow and Georgia Russia.

Performing with Greg will be Dave Zinno on bass, Matt DeChamplain on piano, and Gary Johnson on drums. All three of these musicians have impressive resumes and lists of famous bands and performers with whom they have played.  Some of their credits include greats such as Ray Charles, Roberta Flack, Cab Calloway, Diana Krall, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, and the famous Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. Others include Buddy DeFranco, Dizzy Gillespie, Rosemary Clooney, Frankie Laine. Helen Forest, and Connie Haines.  These incredibly talented musicians come together to bring you a night of jazz like none that you have ever seen before. If you love jazz, then this is a must see show for you.
