David Tessier is a critically acclaimed Actor and Musician from Providence, RI. David has been performing professionally since 1986 and his credits include work with regional theaters such as Trinity Rep, The Gamm, The Wilbury Group and Perishable Theater, as well as performing in Rock Bands all over New England, New York and Los Angeles.
David founded the “David Tessier All-Star Band of All-Star Stars” in 2011 as a vehicle to play “any type of music at any time with anyone”. The critical success of his concert version of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 2013 planted the seeds for the idea to pay tribute to various artists and musical styles. After exploring Rock Opera, Disco and 70s AOR, he brings a night of some of the best songs of the 60s.

A Tribute to the Music of the Monkees features the hits and deep tracks that span across the Monkees’ entire catalog from “I’m a Believer” to “Porpoise Song”, featuring songwriters like Neil Diamond, Carole King, Boyce and Hart, and Mike Nesmith. For this show, David has brought together Jon Brennan(Shryne, Jon and Sara) on Vocals, Guitar, Percussion and Keyboards, Paul Sousa(Swan Point, Woozy) on Bass and Nate Goncalo(Crash Land Band) on Drums.
