Watercolors Gallery is on Display the entire Month Of September. Please feel free to stop in and enjoy this fine arts display.
The exhibition of Our Journeys in Art represents the work of over thirty painters and their personal journeys through art over the years. Some are on the beginning of that journey. Others have been working, experimenting and learning for over twenty years. Most are somewhere in between. For us, it’s very rewarding to see the amazing growth over the years of our works and of our understanding the complexities of art. Many of the paintings may be explorations in the world of color, of light, of composition, of design, of values, of perspective, of line, of the subjective and the objective expressions we search for. We also explore and paint the works of the masters to help us understand their thoughts and executions of their perceived goals. The famous artist Hokusai commented that he “didn’t really get it until he had been painting for at least sixty five years. And if he lived until he was well over one hundred and thirty or forty, he would reach the stage where every dot and every stroke would be alive, imbued with life.” And so, we continue our quest.
The Instructor, Carole Berren, a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, has been teaching drawing and watercolor painting for over thirty six years. She has taught in her studio in Warwick. She loves to share her new understandings, from around the globe, with her students and grow together.
